Songbox Studio 4 is an independent sound studio that caters to recording artists from all disciplines and experience levels. Working one-on-one with the Studio Engineer, you’ll be guided through each step of the recording process. Songbox Studio 4’s goal is to deliver the highest level of sound art and engineering to the individual needs of the recording artist.

About Matt Ballard

Owner & Studio Engineer

Matt received his professional training in recording, sound engineering, and live sound reinforcement at Clear Tracks Studios in Tampa, Florida, and at Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has recorded and produced for international whistling champion Chris Ullman, jazz singer/composer Sarah Beckwith, and singer/songwriter/recording artist Emily Lord. Matt has also recorded and produced radio commercials and audio books for numerous artists and churches in Virginia. 

Matt is also an American Adult Contemporary singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and music producer. His original song “See Me See You” was released world-wide on August 6, 2013. He can be found on Amazon Music, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, C.D. Baby, Jango Radio, and L.A. Mixtapes. Matt also released, “Jesus Guide Me” – now on the CCL for Christian Contemporary Music. Matt’s skillset as a DJ has allowed him to perform at venues such as charity and fundraising events, houses of worship, and educational institutions, for audiences of over 500 people.

Matt is a long standing member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) and the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA).
